BGC Cape Breton Summer Wrap Up

It's hard to believe that summer is over and our summer programs have come to an end. As we transition into after-school programs, it's a great time to think about what went well and what we can improve on for next year.

This is an exciting time! We can keep building on the success of the summer and find more ways to connect with families in the community. But let's not forget that after-school programs can be challenging in their own way, so we need to be mindful of that.

One key consideration is ensuring that after-school programs are accessible and inclusive for all students. This involves providing transportation options, accommodations for students with disabilities, and ensuring that kids make it to and from the club safely during the winter months.

Another important consideration is developing engaging and meaningful programming that meets the needs and interests of students. We hope to provide opportunities for students to develop leadership and teamwork skills throughout the year.

As we move from summer programs to after-school programs, let's take the time to reflect, plan, and collaborate to ensure that we are providing the best possible experiences for our students.
