Canadian Tire keeping kids warm

Our friends over at Canadian Tire, Sydney Port Access Road location heard that some of our young community members were without winter coats and decided to step in to donate some very warm winter jackets and hats to us so we can distribute them to those in need.

A big thank you to Reg Jardine, Promotional Manager and team for organizing this very generous donation.

Not only has our local store been a long time supporter of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Cape Breton, but Canadian Tire is also partnered with Jumpstart, where the CBRM-Victoria County Chapter, chaired by Ken Doucette has helped 2,906 youth and disbursed $93,940 towards "empowering every kid to play".

It is through corporate initiatives, and caring individuals at the local level that the youth in our community are supported and kept safe.

Thanks Canadian Tire, for being part of our team in tackling systemic problems by giving kids and teens access to opportunities they might not find outside our walls—but could change their lives.
