Every day, BGC Cape Breton supports nearly 100 children, offering crucial programs for kids and teens. Some children are sponsored through generous donations, but there’s always a waitlist. From the littles just starting their journey with us to the teens navigating their crucial years, we provide a safe, supportive environment. Younger kids receive lunches, after-school care, and Saturday activities that set them up for success. Teens are especially vulnerable, and though enrollment drops in these years, it’s when they need us most. They rely on our programs for meals, a safe space, and the support to keep them on track. Each teen who stays with us is an investment in a brighter future—despite increased costs like extra meals and programming.
With a $1,000,000 annual operating cost and a $200,000 shortfall, we need your help. Our programs are more than fun and games—they provide vital resources to children facing food insecurity, low income, and mental health challenges. Your donation helps us continue this essential work, ensuring that every child and teen has the opportunity to thrive.

Friends of the BGCCB
For $15 a month, you can join the Friends of the BGCCB and provide ongoing support for local youth. You’ll receive quarterly updates and a small token of appreciation.

Planned Giving
