Recently retired from the Canadian Armed Forces after 20 years of service and currently works as a Student Advisor/ African Canadian Supports at NSCC Marconi campus.  Here, he works closely with post-secondary students to help them set clear, realistic, and attainable goals.  Brad spent his earlier years as a youth facilitator and later a project coordinator for Imhotep’s Legacy Academy which immersed student in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) activities and was aimed at closing the achievement gap for African Nova Scotian students in Whitney Pier and surrounding areas. 

  

Brad understands the power of strong mentorship and guidance. Growing up in Whitney pier, he benefited from the programs offered by the United Mission and later the Whitney Pier Boys and Girls Club. They instilled in him a sense of community responsibility and the confidence that comes when one learns about his or her cultural heritage.

Brad feels he will bring a unique perspective to the board and is excited to learn from fellow board members as they work collectively to influence positive programming and experiences for the youth the club serves. His extensive background will contribute to positive outcomes for our children.
