Oh to be a kid again...
The 3rd Annual Race for Kids being held Saturday, June 16th, 2018 at the Boys & Girls Club – Whitney Pier Youth Club, 111 West Street, Sydney and is presented by Sydney Credit Union.
This event is a return to the best adventures of childhood, embracing the carefree days of being a kid, and a bonding experience for participants as they challenge their skills while raising much needed funds.
It's part The Amazing Race, part Minute to Win It, but all fun. And it raises funds needed to help support our children and youth. Teams of four will compete in 10 themed challenging checkpoints in a race to the finish line. Checkpoints will be designed to incorporate activities that focus the mind and challenge the body.
Registration opens: 11:30
Race start time: 1pm sharp
Registration Cost: $10/participant registration fee; Team Fundraising Minimum: $360 minimum per team to qualify for prizes.
Here is the link to register a team or make a donation:
•Teams are made up of four (4) people. All team members must complete the race together from start to finish.
•Teams may only travel by foot. No other form of transportation is allowed.
•Teams may not ask staff or volunteers at the checkpoints for help in completing challenges. Teams may access the internet, cell phones, or general public as information sources.
•The clock will stop when all team members cross the finish line with their completed Word Scramble.
•All participants must be 18 years of age or older on Race Day.
•Teams are encouraged to register by May30th, 2018. $10 participant registration fee waived if registered by May 20th, 2018.
At the end of the race, join us in a post-event celebration. There will be food, drinks, and prizes including a WestJet Voucher for two going to the individual who raises the most funds via our event website by midnight June 15th, 2018.
